Aloha Friday – Painting House

Aloha Friday!  Join me in participating with Kailani at An Island Life for Aloha Friday!

Today’s Question:

When you pain house…do you do the cutting/edging or the rolling part?  Or, maybe you don’t pain at all?

My Answer:

Today, I did the cutting/edging.  I’m helping my in-laws paint the walls in their new house.

  1. I use a roller and that reminds me I have to do some painting this year

  2. I do all of it at times. It just depends on what other people are doing. (Or if anyone else is helping at all!)

  3. I do everything..tape, edge, cut in and roll!

Today I am touching up all the handprints in my house that would not come off with soap and water!!

  4. I am a terrible cutter-iner! (like my new painting term??) :)

I always do the rolling… and even then I have to go slowly, otherwise I end up with paint on my ceiling! hehehe

BTW… I learned today that I shouldn’t randomly browse the internet while my students are listening to something from iTunes on my computer. When I clicked over to your site, a song started playing and interrupted the audio book they were quietly listening to. I got caught! :)

  5. I’m getting ready to paint my front doors. First I’ll tape off everything and then I’ll use a brush and a little sponge roller. I like the consistency of a roller. So I suppose I do it all.

  6. I usually weasel my way out of painting! hee hee

But I definitely prefer the roller if I have to paint!

  7. When I paint, I usually do the roller. However, we normally hire someone to do it for us.

  8. I do not paint at all. Lucky me, I married someone who used to paint as part time job when he was in college :)

  9. I do the rolling. But I hate to paint.

  10. I just pay someone else to do it. *wink*

  11. I use a roller and do as little detailed work as possible. :)
