My Walk Monday – Note To Self

“But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do:  for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.  Be not ye therefore like unto them:  for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.”

Matthew 6: 7-8

Two things:

1.  My Heavenly Father knows my needs before I ask Him.

2.  He wants me to ask Him.

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”

Matthew 7: 7-8

  1. So true my dear, and A-men. He is so sweet to us (part of what I learned this week)… I already put your link there, thanks for sharing :o )

  2. Deborah,
It is just so wonderful to know that He hears us the first time… there is no need for repeating ourselves – although I don’t feel it’s wrong to come to Him repeatedly, as in different occasions with the same prayer – Jesus encourages Perisistent prayer! But YES – thanks for the reminder that we don’t need to spend much time in prayer repeating ourselves & that He already knows what we need before we ever say it to Him. Although as you’ve got here… we do need to say it, so that we receive it!
    Blessings Sister in Christ, HL
